FAQs
Why does an early payout matter?
Early payout promos are often overlooked because people forget that teams with a big lead can still lose. If we back and lay a team (or hedge against another bookie) we can get an early payout when they go 2 up but then also win the other side of our bet if they don’t win the match.
Can I lock-in a profit after the early payout hits?
Yes. If you are online after the early payout has triggered you can place an in-play bet to lock-in a guaranteed return. We have an Early Payout calculator to help with this. However, your in-play bet will need to be placed over the phone due to gambling regulations.
How much can I bet on 2ups?
There is no limit to the amount you can bet on the 2up promo. However, if you don’t want your account to be banned we recommend sticking to a liability of less than $500 on the major leagues, and less on the smaller ones.

How The 2up Software Works
The 2up offer, also known as 2 goals ahead or early payout, pays out your bet as a winner the moment your team goes two goals in front, even if the game later swings the other way. It is one of the best early payout offers going, with big potential, and there are hundreds of games across loads of leagues to choose from. Early payout offers also run on other sports, from the NFL and NBA to ice hockey, and on the AFL and NRL once those seasons are underway. With so many games available, it can be hard to work out which ones are best, and that is exactly what the 2up software does for you.
The data it gives you
The ideal 2up scenario is that the team you back goes two goals up, then goes on to draw or lose, so you win the bookie bet on the early payout and win your lay at the exchange as well. To help you find the best games, the software gives you:
- Both teams to score, and 4+ goals:Â the percentage chance of each, since you need enough goals for the payout to trigger.
- Qualifying loss:Â the small loss you take if the early payout does not trigger, shown as a percentage so you can keep it as low as possible.
- QL divided by payout:Â weighs that qualifying loss against how much you would be paid if it does trigger, so a slightly bigger loss on a bigger payout can still be a strong play.
- Rating:Â an overall score that combines all of the above and does the hard work for you. The higher the rating, the better the opportunity.
One honest point: like anything with variance, 2up offers come with losing streaks along the way. Stay consistent and keep your qualifying losses small, and they add up nicely over the long run.
Reading the rating
If you only look at one column, make it the rating. It takes everything into account and highlights the strongest games, so you can simply scan for the best-rated matches and decide which ones you want to get involved with.
Filters
You can filter the list to suit how you play. Narrow it to a date, such as this weekend, and set a minimum odds if your strategy is to only back teams above a certain price. The list updates instantly.
Locking in profit
If you would rather lock in a profit than let a bet run to the final whistle, the early payout calculator lets you do that. It is handy when you cannot watch a game live, such as the European matches that play overnight.
