It’s the final day of the NRL season today and, although we’ll be sad to see it go, we are happy to have some great promos to take advantage of.
Here are a few completely risk free ways that you could make money on the big game:
Neds Legends Boost
Neds have an odds boost that is specifically for the Grand Final…and it is huge!
You can add either 30c on head-to-head bets or 60c on line bets. For example, if you choose the line market option you can boost to the Roosters -7.5 from odds of $2.00 to odds of $2.60. The maximum stake is $100.
You can then go to Betfair and lay the Rooster -7.5 for a stake of $136.84 at odds of $1.96.
This will give you a profit of $28.63 no matter the outcome of the game.
Straight Down the Middle
Another thing that we can do in the Line market is what we call a ‘Middle’. This is where we take advantage of differences in the lines at different bookies to give ourselves a no-risk or low-risk shot at a big payout.
Today we have a no-risk middle opportunity due to the fact that several bookies are offering $2 lines. We are going to focus on Ladbrokes and TopSport.
Ladbrokes are offering $2 odds on Roosters -7.5.
TopSport have the same odds on Raiders +7.5/8. This means that half the stake is placed on Raiders +7.5, and the other half goes on +8. The max stake at TopSport is $200.
If we put $200 on both of those bets we would be guaranteed to break even in every scenario except one. That is if Roosters were to win by exactly 8 points.
In that situation we would win the Ladbrokes bet, but only lose on half of the TopSport bet. The other half would be returned to us as a ‘push’. Leaving us with $100 profit, absolutely risk-free.
First Tryscorer
Also at Ladbrokes, we can get odds of $8 for either James Tedesco or Latrell Mitchell to score the first try. The maximum stake on this one is $20.
We can currently lay these players on Betfair at odds of $12.50 and $11 respectively.
To make this play risk free we could lay $9.96 on Tedesco and $11.32 on Mitchell. This would give us $20 profit at Betfair if neither of them score first, cancelling out the Ladbrokes stake.
If one of them does score first we would lose $103.24 at Betfair, but win $140 at Ladbrokes. That would be $36.76 of risk-free profit.
